Thrift Find,Zenith FM radio model H722

I havent posted on here in a while but I thought I would share my latest find. I went Christmas shopping in Wichita Ks the last couple of days. When I am there I hit the thrifts. At a DAV I found this Zenith FM table radio model H722. It has a simple white plastic cabinet style but is very nice. It has a hand wired chassis also. I tried it and it worked so I went ahead and bought it as a Christmas gift for myself.I paid 29.95 for it. That may be a little high but you dont find just fm tube radios very often and Zeniths are about the best radios around. If I had to buy it on ebay it probably would have cost that much anyway. Besides I didnt have to worry about shipping damages. A I notice it has a couple of paper caps that will need to be changed but it works as is for now.

I have a Heathkit that I am trying to figure out what to do with. Does the Radio you found have an Eye Tube?

You see the AM/FM versions of that Zenith, & the seemingly 200 variations, by the bushel. But the "FM Only" version is comparatively rare-I've only seen one on Da Bay, & let it get away. Good catch !

It does not have an eye tube. It is a simple table radio in a white plastic cabinet. Looks like a regular AM radio but is FM only. Iwill try a get a pic of it up tomorrow.
