Worth the Wait!

It took some time, but in the end it was well worth the wait.

Here's the CTC 9 I picked up last September in northern NJ off of CL. It was a pretty straight forward restoration including a few tubes, filters, and changing some off value resistors. Lucky for me the CRT proved to be quite strong on all three guns. It needed some attention in the vertical section. It had some linearity problems initially but replacing the caps on the vertical PCB took care of that. Also had some focus issues, but after some work in that section I think the picture is reasonably sharp now. It has a fantastic sound system utilizing two cross firing tweeters and an 8 inch woofer. The more I see it the more I like the cabinet, and it's in excellent original condition.

Overall it's a very nice performer and a welcome addition to my collection.

Bob
