The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

The Good: I can't complain about the latest find, actually, it found me. I received an unexpected phone call yesterday from a lady who was moving, looking for a home for her old Motorola, tucked away in an unfinished basement. I said sure, I'll pick it up

My first Moto, in snazzy shape, with the remote...

And the..... UGLY!

A score from a radio enthusiast who just doesn't appreciate the old televisions. Thus the ravage of the outdoors

Just a little cleaner on the inside...

10" with mechanical shutter mechanism. Looks like a few hours on that CRT judging by the 'masked' burn in!

Wow Cory, that's a shame about that Westinghouse??
The "burn in" on the CRT is more likely dirt, or Nicotine

Cory,

That Motorola is an awesome find... and it came with a remote? Wow! Even better! Keep us updated on it! That's really nice looking! Hope you are able to get a good picture out of it!

As far as the other set, well, it will just take a bit more effort.

Let me know if you need any paperwork.

Good luck!!!

I have a couple Motorola's from the same era that I brought back this year. One is a '59 table model w/series filaments, the other a '60 console w/parallel. Oddly, the 2 chassis are very similiar. Both were fairly easy to get going (if I can get it going it can't be too hard!) the table model works great, though there is a cap in there I should have changed 'cause it has a slowly drifting vertical hold. The console has a badly washed out picture, but the crt is about used up so I can't expect much.
