For that price the chassis had better be covered in GOLD!!! They must have been smoking some good S*** I was lucky to get $130.00 for mine restored.

Well, maybe, if you had documentation that it was Paul Galvin's personal set- or maybe Harry Truman's, but that much? No way! Hell, it don't even work !! Obviously whomever won it got caught up in the "It must be old-therefore its rare & valuable" syndrome. Solly, Charlie. Not this time.-Sandy G.

I saw one go for over $500 a few years ago. 'Course myself, I'm a disciple of that old economic principle "Buy high, sell low" (A shirt-tail relation to the carpenter's adage: "Measure once, cut twice".)

I'm still hoping that all my junque will turn out to be some sort of retirement account. At least all the restoring I haven't yet gotten around to will keep me off the streets and out of trouble in my golden years.

The cabinet looks very very nice. But there's no way I'd pay that for a unrestored chassis!
