Yes, it is an Airline.

I've always been partial to Zenith, but recently, for some reason, I've found that the Airline's just do something for me.

It's a 1940 Montgomery Wards Airline model 04BR-903A. WIth standard Broadcast and Short Wave. It has a Phono Input, but does not have a Turntable.

I bought it from an Antique shop (Gasp!) In Appleton, WI. At one time, it had some work done to it. The tag said "Recently restored, but currently not working"

Apparently, someone must have thought the 60hz hum they heard was from bad tubes.... ALL of the tubes, except the Tuning eye tube have been replaced with semi-modern metal can tubes. The Tuning eye tube was not connected in the set.

When I bought it, I opened it up and found that ONE cap had been replaced... That must have been the one bad cap that had been replaced at the time.

I paid $21.00 dollars for it. I replaced the rest of the caps, and cleaned it up. It works great. The Tuning Eye works like brand new. I wonder if it had EVER been hooked up...The finish is original, along with the speaker cloth. I don't usually like to buy radios or TV's that need cabinet work for two reasons:

1: I don't like to refinish wood
2: I like the "patina" a piece gets after 68 years of use.

I usually just buy pieces that are presentable the way they are....

I have no idea if this set is worth anything, monetary-wise, but I love it... EVEN MY WIFE LOVES IT!!!
