Ugly Zenith
Is that the original cabinet or the crate it was shipped in?

Good golly that's horrible! While the craftsmanship may be top notch, the esthetic's are just miserable and no way could that be an original cabinet.
It's pretty obvious that the style is home made as none of the trim or types of wood were the flavor in fashion way back when. Am not so much criticizing the labor, just the look of it. Anthony |

It has that "1980's Oak Furniture Warehouse" look to it!

Aztek? Isn't that a South American dialect for "Aye yi yi yi, I'm blind from the ugliness!"?

Looks to me like someone took a large home stereo speaker cabinet, turned it up side down and rigged up the chassis and speaker enclosure. The hole for the crt was already there. Just mount the faceplate and knobs and wa la. One ugly TV.
If a cabinet were destroyed for some reason many people would have done such things as TVs were rather expensive. It would be way cheaper to rig a makeshift cabinet than to get a new set. |

I just realized what that speaker grill reminds me of.....those air vents that they guys from Mission Impossible would always sneak inside of! Can't you just see Barney removing it and sliding inside? LOL!
