Abbotwares horse radio

I picked up this Abbotwares horse radio at my favorite flea market for $58 and some change (including tax). The vendor happens to be the one that I deal with all the time and he had $65 marked on the radio. He asked me what I wanted to pay and I said $55 and that was that. According to my book, this was made in '49. Looks like it will clean up OK. What do you guys thing? Did I do OK?

Kind of a dumb question-did this horse have a rider at one point? I ask because both sides of this horse have wear consistent with where a rider's feet would have been. Otherwise, this is a gorgeous radio, and the patina on the sculpture is fantastic!

I saw one sell for $177 on ebay and I've seen them sell at shows for some more.
