Convergence adjustment can be frustrating. At least it is not as dificult on a roundie as on a rectangular tube. Corner convergence on rectangular tubes is nearly impossible to get right. They never should have quit making roundies.

Any tips on where to find a replacement for the vertical centering pot? 10 ohms, 2 watts (WW) according to the schematic. It's a little flat one, adjustable with a screwdriver through a chassis hole.
I will try to clean it when I get back under the chassis, but just in case . . . The little selenium rectifier on the convergence board is also iffy. One of the plates is loose and it jiggles the picture slightly when you push on it. M7 on the schematic, one package with three diodes. The current plan is to replace with three fast 1N4007 diodes unless there's a better solution. Phil |
