GE 16GP4 CRT, what do I do with it??

Well, I posted this in dollars and sense, it was suggested i post here...I made a thread then everything got moved, and I cannot find my post, so any who...

When my parents moved into their house, this was there in the garage on a shelf.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, its all I had at the time, and its now half burried again, so its safe.

What do I do with this? Im not an TV guy, let alone an early B&W TV guy. I dont know if it works, I think it would be odd to keep a bad tube lying around. Its been stored in a fairly temp controlled environment for years, its a little dusty but otherwise clean. How do I check this thing? anyone local to Los Angeles that can help me out? If it's worth it to someone Ill prolly sell it. Id rather it goes to someone in TV stuff rather than throw it away.

Mark

Hi Mark. well the getter is still shiny so at least it's under vacuum, the tube doesn't match the box though so it's probably used.

There are at least a couple people here near L.A. hopefully one of them can check it out and see if it's good.

Totally off topic, but I couldn't help notice that cool house in the reflection. I love the color scheme

Ya, pretty crazy huh, didnt notice it till I looked at the pic, too bad its just a crappy cell phone cam....it came out pretty sweet. Its my parents house. Started out as a 1 story 900sq ft. now its 1,800 sq ft. built in a more traditional victorian style with big gables and the bright color scheme. The garage/apt thats being built now is a close design also, props to my dad for that. Its all his artistry.

Steve, youve been pm'd! heh
