If you're in the Dallas area...

... and you're into really big stuff, here's a set for you! Early projection sets are always cool, but geeze, they're big!

It's a good thing Curtis Mathes wasn't making those back then... could you imagine how big that would be???

An 8PCS41... Nice set, but it always scares me when the seller puts no price and says "make me an offer". I'll print the ad, and maybe eMail the seller and see what his thoughts are. If he's thinking $10,000, and I'm thinking $10, etc. I wouldn't mind having that set, as I restored one a long time ago. 41 tubes and nearly 500 watts!

Yeah, it's so much better when they simply put a price down... at least then you know what he's wanting for it. But then ya never know... he just might be thinking 10 dollars as well. Consider this: He listed it as an old TV. He didn't get into any specifics about it... not even the brand. Seems if he was wanting 10 grand, he'd list a lot more colorful adjectives and point out how rare he thinks it is.

Charles, how often are you in Dallas? Maybe you should check it out... do it for shits & grins if for no other reason.

We're back & forth, but no particular schedule. My wife's a Dallas native, and she & I are legally Texas residents for many reasons, from taxes to handgun licensure. Her primary residence house is in Plano. We'll probably be there in the next month or 2 for awhile. It's Murphy's Law though. When we're in CA, all this stuff shows up on the Dallas CL, and vice-versa.
