B&k 1077b

Hi,

Newbie here, thanks to Terry N3GTE for referring me.

Picked up a nice B&K 1077B with manual - but the schematic is missing and it's got no horizontal sweep on the FSS CRT. I'm going to check the yoke and a few obvious things but a schematic would be a big help if anyone might be able to scan it for me. Looking forward to using it to get my Philco Predicta going!

Hi Bob - welcome to VideoKarma.

Here's a scan of the 1077B parts list and schematic.

I've got of couple of these guys. One was DOA and I haven't had the time to repair it. The other I picked up along with a Predicta Princess coincidentally. I had broken leads on the vertical yoke windings. A pain to repair, but it's been running fine ever since.

Good luck getting it and the Predicta working.

Excellent!

I'm almost embarrassed to admit how easy the deflection problem turned out to be. After I posted my request for a schematic I figured I could go ahead and check out the yoke windings at least, and upon removing the bottom cover found one of the horizontal yoke lead wires had broken off at the terminal that connects to the flyback! I scrounged one from an old octal socket and it's now making video and it looks like the other signals are as they should be.

I been messing with radio since the 60s, but was never interested in fixing TVs. Of course now that analog TV is commercially obsolete, I decide it'd be neat to learn about ;-)

Thanks for sharing the schematic and parts info, as I want to look at a couple of other areas where parts have been replaced.

And one more request - if anyone has a spare large knob for the 1077B, I'd sure like to make this one look like it is supposed to.

I've got a spare knob for the UHF control on the left. It doesn't have the pointer and the shaft is a little different than the other two. I've included one with the pointer on the right side for a comparison. Sorry, I don't have any of those to spare.

Let me know if you want it.

Hi Bob
Sounds like your getting set up for TV work. What's on your repair list?
