Not sure if Catalina is a house brand of a store chain, but they were around in the 60s, and the name was on lower-end TVs and other home electronics. Most was Japanese-made, so I wonder if this set is a Toshiba clone?

Nice looking set, but seems kinda steep on the starting bid. Catalina has a decent amount of sets in the Sams index...some of them going up to folder 1600 which would be 1977.

I think that Catalina was a store brand, but not sure which store. I have a Catalina color portable (solid state) from the 1970s. The chassis is Japanese.
