Morgan McMahons "A Flick of the Switch" (page 80) shows the set with the CRT swiveled to the left, and says that it is "AM-FM-TV-Phono"...so I would guess that the phono is indeed, left of the Radio/control panel.

Since the cabinet does not appear to be super deep, I wonder if the CRT must be swiveled 90 degrees to its normal viewing position so that the front doors can be closed?
Also, where *are* the front doors when the TV is positioned for viewing? Perhaps the "door" panel shown is actually the side of the rotated CRT display housing.
