Blonde Admiral 22X27
A local guy (not the owner) sent me this photo and asked if I'm interested. Appears to be missing a pencil box cover for the middle knobs. I know nothing else about condition, price, etc.
I'm trying not to accumulate too many things until I finish pending projects. If someone just can't live without a blonde, I could put you in touch with this guy. Located in or near Seattle. Phil |

Cool set. If I was closer.... If I had the room....

I have heard some people say good things about Admirals, but never owned one myself. Anything notable about this chassis? 12-inch CRT? Easy/hard to work on? Good/bad/indifferent performer? I assume the pencil box cover is unobtanium, which immediately cools me on the idea of getting it myself.

I'm partial to them as you may have noticed
![]() I have that same set in bakelite. Yes, it's a 12LP4 CRT. Single chassis similar to that used in the 20X122 10" set. Solid performer and very easy to work on. Yes, the pencil boxes are impossible to find and almost always broken. Although I was lucky to get it with this set, it does have a hairline crack.

Perhaps you could arrange to get the pencil box cover from this set on the opposite coast
They're only asking $10 for the whole combo.http://www.hardwoodlumberandmore.com...thShellac.html |

I have one, and it works quite well. When I got it ten years ago it worked even before a recap, though a recap improved it.

I would be much more interested if this one had a Bakelite cabinet . . . and a pencil box cover.
