Old Radio(s) ID
An estate sale next week has these two radios. I was wondering if anybody can identify them. The bottom one looks like a Telefunken. Any ideas?

BTW, that particular model of clock radio was marketed under at least one other name besides Bendix. I think Hallicrafters had a set that looked like this one, and another well-known radio manufacturer of the '50s whose name escapes me at the moment also copied the design. I want to say Capehart, but if I did I'd probably be wrong.

That's definitely a European Telefunken-style set. This will be one of the better sized sets-just compare it to the four-slot toaster below it! It also has stereo sound.
The clock radio above it looks like a late 40s model-I think I see the Bendix logo above the slide dial? Probably a very simple 4 or 5 tube set inside that one. |

Looks like one of the Telefunken Allegro sets, late 50's/early 60's. And yes, the clock radio is a Bendix, early 50's I believe.

Bendix & Telefunken, definitely.

Hallicrafters did indeed make a radio similar to the Bendix. I have one handy, although the back of it is badly banged up and the front knobs are missing. Have yet to work on it.
