3 Zenith's, 1 GE, 1 RCA, and 2 Boy's radios found

I just bought these from a member of ARF.

The first one is a Zenith Royal 50 pocket radio from around 1961 in working condition and even has a sticker on the back that boast that the radio was made in USA by skilled American workers.

The next radio is a Zenith Royal 59 that also plays well. I can't find this one in my books and I'm guessing it's from around '64.

Next, is a Zenith Royal 500E from 1960. I think this one needs a recap.

Next, is a Coronet two transistor Boy's radio from Japan. I'd guess from around 1960.

Next, is a Tonelux black two transistor boys radio. I've never heard of the Tonelux brand and I've never seen a boy's radio in a solid black case.

Next, is an RCA Victor USA made 1-RJ-19 from 1962. This one takes a 4 volt battery that looks similar to a 1.5 volt AA cell. The RCA number is VS-149. I'll have to come up with something inventive to use as a modern battery replacement.

Last; but, not least is a GE P826A from around '61. Also takes a 4V battery, Eveready number E133.

Here lately, I've decided to start adding more transistor radios to my collection. I especially like to find non working ones so I can brush up on my transistor radio repair skills. When I found this lot for sale on ARF, I jumped on it. The only two that I've really played with are the Zenith Royal 50 and 59; and, they are excellent performers. And, I especially like the "USA" sticker on the back of the Royal 50. I suspect that USA made Zenith pocket radios didn't last too much longer after this one was made.

Do an internet search for battery type en133a.It is a 4.5 volt battery that works perfectly in my rca 3 rh10 pocket radio that calls for a vs149.
