Besides, Australia used PAL and the channels are on different frequencies anyway. But I thought it interesting the differing brands and styles of the cabinets.

Don't forget they run on 220v 50 hz....not sure how some components would react to 60 hz

They'd like 60 hz. The transformers would run cooler.

On the subject of Tv's from other lands,did anyone else experiment with fiberglass tvs outside the USA in the late 1950's or early 60's?
