I picked this up yesterday. I was hoping someone else would get this as I already have a walnut model, this is mahogany. The crt tests like new, chassis is a little rusty but not to bad. This tv had been in the original family for years and was just stored for several generations, this tv was going to be trashed if it didn't sell. Seller had tried to sell it at several garage sales and had no takers, I thanked her for putting on Craigslist instead of trashing it. I wont get to the restoration until this fall.

Serial number 1255? That's a low one!

The s/n is 1255 but the model # is 630TCS, the other set I have is model 630TS, I thought the 630TCS was the console model.

The TCS is the console model, I wonder if the chassis was swapped at some time or did RCA goof and put the wrong tag on it?

TCS shown here: http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/rca_630_tcs630tc.html
