Victor R-32 at auction
Picked up a 1929 Victor R-32 at auction last night. It is supposedly working. The auction guys had plugged it in! The cords are all in very good condition so hopefully no damage was done.
The cabinet could use some TLC but overall is in not too bad of condition. I will post some pictures later. Cheers Lar

This series of Victors and RCA Victors are bullet-proof and built like tanks (as your back no doubt could tell!) They amazed the radio world with their sound compared to most radios of a year or two before with their horn or pin-drive speakers.

I had one of those, my great uncle had used it for his "outside' radio and the cabinet was junk, I kept it for 30 years hoping to find a cabinet for it, it worked OK, I finally gave up and sold the guts on Ebay. Good score for you ! I have a large colection of his radio's still, when he died they were all left to me because I used to admire all of them in his shed in Ojai, Calif. when we would visit. I have one of his prototypes from when he started "the wirless shop" back in the twenties and lots of "radiolas" ironically I am going to be pulling out all my stuff here soon as I lost my storage shed, I'll post pictures if all would like . I'm shure some of it might be historic
