LOVE the Marlin-Hope you get the Predicta. Again, I'd strongly advise you NOT to "Fire it Up"-That's a BIG "No-No" when dealing w/elderly electronics. Like yr fridge, too-So it works, do you still use it ?

Yes! I have it in my garage where it gets pretty hot. I keep it on "5" and it stays right at 33 degrees. The pedal by the left front leg also works where you can step on it and open the door in case your arms are full of groceries.
I love old, weird things. If my wife would let me, my house would be decorated like the Aadams Family's home. I mean, how many other people can say they have a 7 foots autographed BODY BAG hanging in the den. It's from a movie I did with Danny Aeillo and Leslie Ann Warren called "STIFFS" where I get zipped up in it. So, I asked the entire cast and crew to sign it for me. LOL... I know.........I ain't right, but I'm having a ball. buds chuck |

I got my Philco roundy free from a guy that used TWO monitor top fridges and lived in a verry old house that had been in the family for generations and still had all the houses first appliances in their original places working like new. It was a darn cool place to vist and almost like a museum!

Well, I went to the inspection of the TV. The man said he saw snow on the screen when they got the TV. The case and plastic looked like it could be restored and buffed back to looking pretty.
I couldn't get the tubes to light up, but the second hand would work on the clock. It has 4 more hours and is up to 85.00 right now. I think I'm going to pass on this one and wait until I can find one that doesn't have so many questions about it. You can see it at : http://www.fasttrackauction.net/cgi-...1/category/ALL Item number 14 I'll keep looking for a cool old TV. THANKS GUYS for being so kind to a full fledged newbie like me. buds chuck wanna see me in action? Check out www.DeadBodyGuy.com |

If you do decide to purchase it and your willing to ship it I can recommend a good restorer. Make sure the CRT is good first or you may be in for a long wait for a good one and it won't come cheap since there are a lot of other people looking for them too.

I didn't end up winning it. It was WAY out of my comfort zone and knowledge.
I'd rather find a good working one and maybe do a cabinet restoration. I can't thank y'all enough for answering all of my questions. You're a great bunch of guys (ladies included). You've all picked a wonderful hobby. Very rewarding. buds Chuck |
