It looks like a really nice set. It is remarkably well preserved.

It would be interesing for you to later let us know where the set lived thru the years for it to remain in such pristine condition.

It will be interesting to see if the finish is indeed Pecan or if it is darker where not exposed to light.
We have seen several CT-100s with a light "pecan-looking" finish, such as the one at ETF:

I think that it generally believed that these sets are really Mahogany that has faded over time. I think that the color is lovely on these sets, regardless of its origin.

Yes, I think the cabinet has faded from light exposure. Look how much darker the pencil box color is. If you find a part of the cabinet that was hidden from light, I bet it will be closer to the pencil box color.

It looks great in its current condition, however. If it looks as good in person as it does in the photos, I would just enjoy it as-is.

It's a little unusual that the clear lacquer finish has not completely oxidized. It almost has the appearance that someone top coated it with clear at some point. At any rate I think it looks exceptional as is.

The set is here!

Picked up the set today. Yes this set is faded in the front. The sides are normal. Still looks good for its age. Nice that it has a phono input. The CRT tests very good on my sencore CR31A. It took a few minutes to wake up. I powered the set on briefly(the previous owner already done so). No HV at all but there is sound with NO hum. I can pick up an FM station on channel 6 so the IF is working for the most part.

That CRT doesn't look like it's aluminized, which is unusual for a tube that new. Also, it must be a straight gun. I dont see an ion trap. Anyway, great find on a super clean set.

According to RCA and GE specs, 21EP4A requires an ION trap, 21EP4B & C are aluminized and require no ION trap.
