Here are a few pictures of my "new" Zenith Space Command 300. Sorry about the quality

I got this on 12/27 from a fellow collector who got it from another fellow collector. I really don't know anything about its history, I'm afraid. It's in absolutely beautiful condition--cabinet is pristine, insides have a little dust, but not much. And as far as I know, nothing has been done to it; being a Zenith, it just works. You can see in the video that the remote works just fine (that was a separate Ebay purchase.) What you can't see is the beautiful, sharp picture

Camera's just no good...
By the way, the picture fills the screen, unlike what it looks like in the photo.

The model is T3026A, I think--the first letter is barely legible--with chassis number 16K23QS. No UHF, so I know it's pre '64, but does anyone know the exact year of manufacture? Also, if anyone can tell me the model name, I'd appreciate it.

Wow, nice clean set!
I have a 1961 23" SC400 sitting in the garage, a Blondie, The knob layout is very similar to yours except I don't think it actually has a channel knob, just up and down buttons.
It has no vertical, got to bring it in and fix it one of these days.

This doesn't have a tuning knob, either--at least not on the front. There's a knob on the back for changing channels, I guess in case the remote stops working. What's on the front is just the channel indicator and fine-tuning.

Shouldn't those buttons operate the channel tuning?

The "K" line is a 1962 model year set. I don't think that remote is the original one.

That's a nice looking set. Is that one like my '61 23" SC300 where the down button also turns the channel up?

My '61 uses the older SC300 remote, my '63, the newer SC300 like that one. I don't know about the 62s. I had sort of assumed they changed the style of the remote when the remote receiver unit went all-transistor (either 62 or 63?). My binder of space-command manuals is missing a few, it jumps right from the 1961 F chassis sets to the 1966 N line.
