Year FM Pilot T601A tuner only made
can someone please tell me the year this is made. Good unit after replacing caps.
Tuning cap is weird low # plates used, similair to prewar fm but postwar. year made?? well made and clean unit. ![]() ![]()

wow,
thanks for info. need more caps replaced, great set. performs well. tuning cap still looks like prewar fm type. Possibly a hack version to use surplus tune caps from old band? The fm antenna has loop going back into rf or if section with another loop. strangley reminds me a little of that conveter hack circuit from old to new FM bands. IS this a typical FM circuit or similiar to I described. Possilble transition piece?

I think it is a transition era FM tuner. Every feature points to that. 1947 era without doubt. Pilot made a model or two this way.
