Congrats on the great find! I wouldn't worry too much about the fly. Mine had also dripped lots of wax but it seems to be just fine. Here's the thread about mine. It's the later chassis without the 5U4s.

I've replaced just about all the "maroon drops" as well as all the electrolytics and few few resistors and it's playing very nicely.

Miniman said: "Make sure you remember to pull that metal plate covering the color circuits under the chassis, there's a slew of them under there as well."

Mine was missing this. Is it possible it was omitted in later versions?
