Just thought--There's a mistake in the above for the 110V mains supply in the USA.
We have 240V here, so using the 12V lighting-transformer supplied as I did back-to back with a 6.3V supply, will give you only 75 odd volts after rectification/smoothing.... I would recommend use a straight isolation transformer to give 110-120V before rectification to supply the 'HT' supply for the process above... BTW,--Sorry while trying to correct a spelling mistake, this thread got posted twice.... |
