Repurpose - at least its not an Aquirium!!!

Purchased a Raytheon TV 10" CRT Bezel off Ebay.
Thinking very seriously about making me a
"man in the clock". Wife thinks its kinda creepy
and that might be why I like it.

Here is what I am thinking about:

... and planning on using the Raytheon TV bezel.

What do you guys think?

That clock is really cool. I'd love to have one. But I'm not ever gonna be willing to spend 12 hours making the video loop.

Thats gonna be the b*tch.
I thought about doing a one hour run do the minutes and then use
a video editor to overlay the hour change -- but that might take
12 hours to do:-) Then I thought about doing it a hour or so over
a period of time.

Like to find someone else's druggery and user theirs:-)

The Cabinet should be simple. I think its important for the
clock to be eye level to effect that there is somebody in the box.

Use the safety glass from a 21" CRT and make a really big clock!

You don't even need a round glass -- only a round cutout in front of glass (which could be rectangular, etc., on the inside).

Man in the clock: have the cutouts at the bottom of the clock large enough so that two big black wingtips show, and animate them so they shift a little every once in a while. Substitute red stilettos if bombclocklady is involved.
