What the heck is this?

For sale on Kijiji Quebec. At first glance I mistook it for an Avanti, but it's actually a Panasonic set. Anyone familiar with these?

Looks like mid 70's. Never seen one. No doubt its
rare, at least down here very few JP consoles were sold.
The early Panny solid state chassis was quite nice, modular
and only had power supply problems. I bet its one
of those. Too bad the model tag seems to be missing
but there is a chassis # inside.
I would get it if reasonable.........

Well the seller still want 100$ for it. And to be honest I'm really out of room. Maybe there is a videokarma member in Montréal that would be interested?

A family friend in Milwaukee had a newer Panasonic, with a cabinet similar to that one, only a darker finish. It was a remote set, probably an early to mid-90's. model.
It seems a lot of the console Panasonics sold in the U.S. were built in Canada.

I think it was called a "Quintrix". Great picture, fussy chassis to work on after it aged.
Mostly power supply issues.

Did a little research. Control area on a CT2526 seem identical.
Uses GP-76 chassis. Other models CT2516, 2536, &2546
Probably one of them. Very conventional set, 2 main boards
& regulated power xformer like Zenith. Made apx 1976-77
I dont see the Quintrix logo.
Be a shame to let it go, wait a week & offer $50.......
I wouldnt pay more unless it has a perfect jug.

Doubtful, this forum seems almost devoid of Canadian members, at least active ones. Also, there's the general lack of interest in solid-state sets.

Apparently that's what my '89 Panasonic console cost when new.
