My brother has a large '40 iron that is wide and hot enough to heat all three posts at the same time. That should help with the removal. He then has three clip on heat sinks for the new pot's legs and will heat the posts and press new one in place.
Easiest to cut out & remove pins one at a time. Then trim the new
ones so you dont have to drive them so deep........
