I have moved along with technology, somewhat. Yes I owned an SX-25 Hallicrafters that was a lot of fun. I later had an NC-173 and an R-390A that was an incredible receiver. Now I have solid state transceivers that put all those boat anchors to shame.

My TS-940S for instance covers LW, MW, HF continuously with AM, FM, CW, SSB, is so stable it's hard to measure drift, and reads out within 10 Hz at any frequency. Amazing unit; if there is a signal out there I can hear it and check its frequency.
