Never heard of that later edition of the 1953 Radiotron Designer's Handbook, which
I do have. Thanks for posting, will be checking the differences (eventually...).

Thanks. I saved it and put it on my reading list right after "Boy's First Book of Electricity." Actually, I think there's a comma error on page 1,046.
