Sandy, back then a barrel of oil was what $14. so, those caddy's weren't shining OPEC's bank accounts...... but at $100./bl. those 12mpg giant pickups they makin' today.... well, there's some shine over there today!
There was a kinda neat look to those Tubular cars.... I didn't realize just how far those tires stuck out from under the pinto's.... Same for most 70's cars too, I bet that design made for lots of the rust in those quarter panels....
