like most of my fellow television collectors, I have too damn many sets ... 40ish was the last count and that count was a while ago

this beautiful 1960 Zenith Frederiksburg is at the top
my everyday watcher, a 36" Sharp crt set, NOS 1982 RCA XL100 console, 1988 RCA Colortrak 20 inch monitor style all produce superior pictures

Wow, and people think I have too many watches! 40+ TVs sure take up a lot of room!

Watches? Did you say watches?
Yep. Have 40ish of those also, tho I seldom wear anything but a low tech Timex Expedition camo anymore.
A favorite watch of mine is a Timex Expedition World Time analog with a true 24 hour movement. Awesome watch.

Just something about those XLs that I've always loved. That one is a beauty.

Oh yeah, it's really well preserved. Probably needs new caps, the picture pulls in from the top and bottom, and was pulling in from the right side with no signal applied before I adjusted the horizontal hold. That was probably a patch job I did there.

Someone ought to start a watch thread. I've got I think 8 watches. Just tried to repair the movement on a Timex electric from the early 70s, but the battery corrosion had just got too far in.....

Right now my favorite is my '60 Zenith. I watch the CBS Evening News on it every night.....or I try to anyway. Life seems to have a way of getting my plans all mixed up at 6:30 in the evening....

Oh no. I can't start a watch thread. I own close to 100 watches and am a member of Watchgeeks.net. AHHHHHHH!!!!

I do have say that collecting watches, while they cost more than old TVs, they sure take up a whole lot less room! I've been known to go away for four/five days and take nine watches with me!

My favorite set is a blonde RCA 21" color from 1961, the Wakely model with very low hours.
It was an "intercepted" trade in from 1985, and it lasted 23 years without much more than some tubes and adjustments but needs a recap after some heavy daily use 5 years ago, before the election when I watched all kinds of PBS documentaries.

Quite the definitive winning combination Tim, an early 60s Zenith with an Alliance Tenna-rotor

Prolly have to say my 12" Zenith Porthole... The CT-101s are pretty neat, as is the '77 Sinclair... And the Safari...Dammit, WHY did you axe such a question, anyway ?!? (grin)
