Question Russian radio,a suprise

Bought an old Russian communications radio, quadruple change superhet with 6 RF stages, bandspread tuning, twelve if stages, along with a 2kva transformer to convert 240v to 220v,for 50 bucks from a junkshop, had to replace one of the 5 filter chokes, and all the 700uf 1kv reservoir and filter caps, all the paper caps were oilfilled 5kv rated so these were ok, 2 PL519 sweep tubes in class ab for audio, also had FM,65-120mhz and airband too, thing was built like a tank, all the knobs worked the wrong way, opened it up,in a small compartment was a comprehensive service manual,in English, and Russian, along with a picture of Joesph Stalin being riddled with bullets,by someone from the Klan, along with a loaded Makarov pistol, with a tag,Greetings, comrade, from the CIA.Any you guys found stuff like this before?

I bought an early 50s Sylvania table model TV complete with a hidden family of about 6 rats in it this past spring. Does that count?

I opened a radio that had several dozen baby spiders living in it. No pic of Uncle Joe, however. Spiders mighta eaten it.

Boorish Boorish is gone now-BooHoo- but I remember the story back when we were still part of AK, some guy bought a highboy late 20s-early Thirties radio, loaded in this van, & got underway good, & was attacked by the Angry Residents of the big-@zz Wasper Nest that had gone previously unnoticed..

Twenty-two years in the U.S. armed forces and never heard a shot fired in anger. Now I have to worry about death by radio. Maybe I should go back to golf.
