Retrace lines GONE

A huge thank you to Phil Nelson for posting the retrace lines blanking circuit for the Admiral 19A1 sets on his website. Installed it tonight on my 19A11 and my retrace lines are GONE!!! Even with brightness turned all the way up.

Thanks again Phil. Video and picture below

Glad it worked out. I didn't make up that circuit, by the way. It's a well known idea that you can read about in various places, including an old service magazine article from the 1950s.

Thx. This set has come a LONG way in a little less than a year. Pretty much everything has been replaced. Caps, resistors, filter choke, horiz sweep transformer, etc. I have two 82 ohm resistors left, both test out of tolerance. So ordered them up and after that - this set is "done."

Which is good b/c I am now backlogged with sets. Have an Admiral Tele-bar coming in, a DuMont 108, a DuMont 103 doghouse and my Crosley 630 clone (which Kamakiri has been troubleshooting). Oh and my Zenith porthole in storage which I will get to one of these days!

Worked great Phil. When I Googled this issue, your site popped right up and it was so nicely explained with the schematic too, was perfect! Sometimes finding this stuff is harder than performing the repair. Your site made it easy, Phil! Thx!
