RCA Victor 621TS Database - Questions

I'd like to know, and Eric can certainly help with this, as well as members here, the following questions, as it pertains to serial numbers.

How many 621TS's have their original tubes, and what are the date codes on the tubes.

Which 621s have 6AT6 sound detectors and which have 6AL5s.

What is the date interval of 621 production. When did it begin, and when did it end.

Allright, I'll start the ball rolling:

621TS Walnut

serial number: C 003539

sound discriminator: 6AT6

original tube set dated 6-17 to 6-35

earliest estimated production date: End of September 1946


this may tell us when 621s were produced, production changes,when they stopped producing them, and perhaps other things.

I'm betting there are other 621s there with original tubes still installed. Check them and see!

You know, since the world lot more 630s produced, and since they were mixed in with the 621s, they could tell us when and where as well.
