I broke'd it

Was working on a '53 Sylvania last night replacing a candohm with 2 chassis mount Dale resistors, and while trying to get the screwdriver firmly on the mounting screw, this thing shattered like a piece of glass.

Sams identifies it as a 10,000 mmfd cap, which is of course .01 uF. Is there anything special about this particular cap?

Those are tubular ceramic caps. They usually have a specific temperature coefficient for correcting other changes in the circuitry. You can find some here:

Well, the visible color code does look like brown-black-orange, which matches the schematic value.
