Good find? Zenith B&W and early model vhs

Just come across both of these and will be picking them up monday. I'm thinking its a good haul for free being saved from the landfill. Both mint and working.

It might be a second-year RCA VHS. I have their first one (VBT-200), and this one looks a bit different.

Definitely a good machine to find.

Not surprising the TV works Zeniths from around then are virtually immortal...Almost every Zenith 1960 or newer that has passed through my hands has worked to some useable extent.

If it is a VCT-200 or similar, it is likely from 1978. A VDT-250 (I am just guessing at model numbers) would be 1979. I do not think it is any newer than those; the VET series (from 1980-81) were a different style if I remember right. It may have the model number and date of manufacture on a label on the back panel or bottom. Let us know if you find it.

pac.attack76 , check your local thrift shop or Goowill for a video camera. I picked up three tube type video cameras at my local Goodwill over the last few months. I paid a 4-5 dollars each for them.

Nice TV. Its abt a '64. IIRC they came without UHF also.
As good a B&W as any ever made.

I think it has a separate safety screen. If so the plastic around
the CRT pops off & 1/4" screws hold it on.
Post the model & or chassis ## & we can look up the date.
Besides that you can look for date codes on ORIGIONAL
parts & date it closer.
