And let's not forget the RCA "flat chassis" sets. CTC 40, 44, 47.

While not QUITE up to the Zenith quality--they are NOT bad. MUCH better than most other sets at the time.

And the Magnavox 'flat chassis " sets, the T979 and T989, deserve "honorable mention" too. As does the VERY rare Sylvania E01 and E02 sets. I have only seen ONE, in my lifetime. A flat chassis SS set, 1971, 1972.
