Rca tv

Hi Guys:
I have line on the set pictured below, any ideas on a model and year? The seller is a fair drive from me and I wanted to do a little research first.
Thanks

Gregb

Looks like a higher-end B/W model, 21/24". Likely a good performer, once you do the usual TLC on caps, etc.

It's a '57, but not sure about the model number. These b/w consoles still can be had for low prices. If it was a color set the value would be substantial.

The seller wants $75 which seems ok to me, hoping the CRT has a little life in it.

Not a bad deal. I picked this one up at the ETF auction for $15. The trim snapped back into place, and the CRT came back up with a little coaxing. It works, sort of. Screen is dim and shrunk but it does receive stations. It's going to need at least filter caps, I'll probably end up running through the whole thing.

I have the legs for it which aren't installed in this pic. Picture tube is a 21AMP4, the same one used in the "Super" B/W metal cabinet table model line.

Well, I now own this set and I must says its in pretty good condition. The only problem is the channel change knob is missing. Does anyone have a picture of the correct knob they could send me or does anyone have a knob they would part with?
Thanks

I'll take a guess and say it probably looks like this one.

If your control layout is like this then it's probably correct, this is from a 56/57 RCA 21", your color may vary since this is from a lighter colored set.

I may have some in my knob bucket, I'll check tomorrow.

Hi Eric:
Yes the rest of the knobs look the same as your picture. If you have a spare channel knob I would be very interested.
Thanks

Greg, went through my junk and I have two of these, one dark one light, they are both missing the brass insert. You could paint in one with gold paint I suppose.

If you want one it's yours for shipping, let me know which color.
