The Admirals of the day were strange in that respect. The VHF only sets were 21mc, where the UHF/VHF models were 41mc. |

The tap (if there is only one) means it is a dual diode. Some selenium's had several taps and acted as several diodes.

I don't see the power transformer. What numbers are printed on or stamped into it?

No power transformer. Series wired setup. It has a small transformer on the back side of the selenium rectifier, the vertical transformer and the audio transformer.

Thanks to RonL, the Television is a Canadian 1957 chassis # 1621
With the information he provided, I should be able to get it going. |

RonL: Does your book have any other prints? The 2 that you sent don't show the connections for every connection on the tube sockets. This resistors I need to replace are not listed. I think someone replaced the 12DQ6 with a 12BQ6, because the print matches everything else.
I looked at the sam's print for that model and it is similar, but not exact. Hopefully between the 2 prints I can figure out what parts I need I usually fix tube amps, I have done a few tv's but mainly just swapping caps. This one is going to need a lot more to get it going but it will be great when it is done. Thank you to everyone for helping out. Last edited by static1701; 09-14-2019 at 11:47 AM. |
