nearly mint 1940 Zenith 4K400M portable

This one is amazingly clean in and out. All I had to do is blow out the dust in the nooks and back area. It even has 1947 dated Eveready batteries in the back. This is the much rarer version of the very common 5G401. The biggest difference is this one does not have the unsightly large antenna inputs to the right of the dial. This early version model has the typically loop antenna attached to the inside of the rear panel. It has all the original tall Zenith etched tubes and they check okay. Looking forward to get this one working again. I had Transoceanics in the past and never really liked them. I prefer this conventional AM only portable.
