Agree with Zeno. Wait until they get to room temp before power up..Its even in the instructions when set is new,,I had plenty sets in my storage bins for years and they were OK except a few needed work done on them..

I remember the stories my late TV repair friends told me.Back in the 1960's where customers with cold house would crack some tubes in their sets if they kept their furnace temp to low in the winter....
