Early 1960s Sears silvertone black and white tv repair

I got this set out of a shed a few years back but my knowledge of tv repair is shaky at best so I didn’t mess with it to much. What I did notice was that the fly back transformer definitely had some issues as you will see in the following pictures. I was also unable to find any sort of documentation or mention online, save for one picture that shows it. If anyone has any help or knowledge in regards to my next steps please feel free to post.

The red wire in your hand looks like its the HV lead to the CRT. Its
pulled out of the white plastic HV "cup".
Probably broke off the HV rectifier socket. You will need to take apart
the HV cup to see.

Interesting to see the US$$ v Can $$ in the ad. The color set would be $300
& your B&W abt $140 US$.

Thanks for the response

I have taken a closer look at the set and especially the area you mentioned, the high voltage cap. Here is what i found, I also need a new 17BE3 damper tube as mine has gone to air.

There should be a big long model number on the back. Format
is ###.########
Post that & maybe I have a manual for it. If it has a 4 digit model number
that probably wont help.

Here is what I found

Here is the number on the back, hopefully a schematic can be obtained from this information as I have been unsuccessful finding one myself.

I hope someone has a Simpson-Sears directory for those numbers. That TV was made either by Toshiba or Sanyo but the numbers don't cross to anything sold via Sears of Chicago.

Simple parts in them either way, so it is certainly worth the effort.

Based on Sears and Roebuck, the Sams Photofact index lists the numbers as 528.xxxxx for Warwick sets and 562.xxxxx and 564.xxxxx, 456.xxxxx for the Japanese manufacturers

Sears tv identification

It is a Canadian set I believe

As for the repairs it has no high voltage and the damper tube is bad, probably also needs a recap. Not sure of the crt as I don’t have a tester. Other than that I’m open to any and all comments.

What are the other numbers shown above what I think is the schematic on the flyback cage?

It could be fixed without a schematic if the parts are labeled or have colorings for size, but a few vital parts would need the schematic for cross reference.

Here is a better picture, it shows some of the tubes but it is quite worn.

Three bucks on tubedepot: https://tubedepot.com/products/17be3-17bz3

You'll have to find a better model number (or chassis number) if you want a schematic. The one displayed on the back cover doesn't cross to anything.

As of yet I have not, so I would be very appreciative if you have the info for my set. I posted all serial numbers in previous posts on this thread so if you find any matches please send them my way.

Thanks
