Recommendations for a "video stabilizer" box?

I'm in the market for a "video stabilizer", AKA a Macrovision decoder, so that I can dub commercial tapes to other formats. What should I be on the lookout for?

I don't own one of these, but it's been on my wish list. It's a Dimax GREX.
