I bet a lot of people have projects that are 10 years old or more. Sometimes you will work on something fervently for several weeks then tire of it and move to something else. Then years later you will become interested again on the original project.

The US version of that set was a flop, not because of the set, but because of the cabinet styling! The dealers had a hard time selling them.
There was a documentary the showed the damage the explosion of an "H" bomb would cause. In the film, they staged a furnished home and it had a GE set like that! It, as well as the home wouldn't survive!
I laughed when I saw it.

The "facial expression" with gaping maw and bugged-out eyes is like that of someone's ex mother in law on a rant.

Yeah, seems like the partial raster gives the 'maw' an even more ferocious, carniverous look.

You're right.
The 7" porthole console with the magnifier needs to be photographed with a close up of an eye blinking and this GE needs to be photographed with a close-up of an open mouth... It'd be even funnier if it was parked next to a coffee table with a TV dinner on it.

I have the vert cct recapped except for one electrolytic cap( tested good) but i still got some vert Lin problems. I'm thinking of trying some other vert tubes I have in stock.I got more width and better horz Lin by adjusting the controls but not perfect.horz centering could be better.I still have to recap horz cct.as time allows, bit by bit.
