MZTV Museum

All,

I am buying a working 21" round screen RCA color TV (CTC-20) from a fellow who had it on ebay. While phoning him today to confirm plans for my picking the set up this week I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this gentleman, Gary Borton, is the fellow that is responsible for having put the MZTV vintage collection together for Mozes Znaimer in the early 90's. I have met others involved with the museum since like Iain Baird (the great grandson of the famous TV Pioneer John Logie Baird), but never the original acquisitor. I had an interesting chat with Gary for about a half hour this evening. Gary himself had about 300 vintage TV's but has sold almost all of them off in the past couple of years. I learned some 'interesting' behind the scenes tidbits about the MZTV operation. I plan to meet Gary, weather permitting this week at his warehouse and see what other treasures he has left. Should be fun.

Rob
