unidentified identified

Some time back (when I first joined Audiokarma) I posted a screen capture from a TV program on the 60's with an unidentified roundie - the logo was too blurry to read.

Well, I found it in an ad I bought on ebay, and it is a Magnavox with matching stereo system. the add appeared in February 1961. The combo could be bought for $1100, or the TV and stereo could be bought separately.

Looks like an RCA CTC-10 clone in a beautiful Magnavox cabinet. There were no stereo tv broadcasts at the time, except for some experimental simulcasts using the fm radio. The speakers are there, but don't see the stereo components in the picture. I wonder where Magnavox put them on this unit?

I've seen pix of similar sets; the phono and radio are under the lift-up top panel, above the TV components. Nice and compact... but very warm.
