I thinkk you're confusing the brightness contribution of the three primaries with the beam current balance required. The R,G, and B beam currents are much closer to equal than the brightness contributions would imply.

Green is OK. See #13 first photo, and here not only the green gras but the clear white parts of the picture. The 59% for green is the sensitivity of the human eye for green, this is not the real beam current, as old_tv_nut mentioned before. Again, this set has a gorgeous picture!
