7JP4 For Sale

Now this has to be a record bid for one of these on eBay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6235691277

...from the label I think it's possibly from an old Goldenview? So, when the price goes this high for a used tube...don't you just wait and buy the whole set.

I've seen NOS tubes sell for that much but not a used one!
Also, light on the screen doesn't mean much, I've got several that will light up well but when you put a picture on them they look terrible or go negative.

Check out the guy's feedback. I bought some stuff from him a while back, and it wasn't what he claimed. Hope this buyer gets what he paid for.

I remember seeing that. For so long I always thought the 621TS used that tube but then realized the 621TS used magnetic deflection and used a 7DP4. This has to be the highest I've seen a 7JP4 on ebay though.

I sold a package lot of 7JP4s on eBay a couple years ago; TWENTY of them for $200!!!! Me dumb, or bidders on that one dumb?

Come to think: Is there even a 7" electrostatic TV around, maybe except a really clean T-54, that's worth as much as that tube is up to???

Charles

.

A few I can think of are the Philcos, Automatics & Raytheons.

My best 7JP4 score was a NOS Tung-Sol for $99 BIN on the Yahoo Auction.

Talking

I just traded for a restored Motola with NOS tube. Bright, crisp, good contrast.
