What happend to the masking?

Looks like it's made out of Bondo ?!

Oh man, That looks bad! I remember this guy from arc, He had a setchell carlson tv that I bought from him about 8 years back.
Was helpful and found me several other sets including a setch roundie. Said he owned several radio stations, So he is probably a wealthy collector, But why not restore that set correctly? Seems out of character for him.

Yes, he's been selling on eBay for quite a while, I may even have bought something from him at one time.

He had it listed last week with a Buy It Now price of $500

Ewwwwwwww!

I had a chance to get one of those but the friend who owned it passed away suddenly and his spouse would have nothing to do with donating or selling it to me. I was disappointed as the wooden model doesn't show up very often.

I got this one from a local for $40

It was missing the knobs, back and the finish was terrible but it worked!
